Underlining the club's ambitions to consolidate its position as a leading contender for premiership honours, and as a flag bearer for top class rugby in the Glamorgan Valleys, Pontypridd RFC will imminently launch a new official website. This new site will set the standards for internet communications on the Welsh club scene, and proves yet again that the Sardis Road outfit will continue to rise, resurgent and in defiance of the turmoil that surrounds the domestic structure of Welsh rugby.
Much work has gone on behind the scenes over the past few weeks to build the new site, which will essentially combine the assets of the current official club site and the highly popular unofficial site, Ponty.net, all in a brand new format.
The site will be hosted, and has been built by ISS, a company based in the Czech Republic and run by former Ponty back-row forward Jan Machacek. The graphics for the site have been designed by the Sample 3 team of Aled Williams, Graham Spiller and Oliver Hall. A huge amount of work has been put in by Ponty.net webmaster Owen Williams and IT expert Paul Browning, in conjunction with Pontypridd RFC media officer Guto Davies and the board of directors of Ponty Rugby Ltd.
Maintaining the domain name of www.pontypriddrfc.co.uk, with a direct link from the address of www.ponty.net, the new website will hopefully continue to be the bearer of good news as to the future endeavours of Pontypridd RFC, the Valleys' Premier Rugby Club. Watch this space, the new site is on its way!
