On a greasy surface, from the kick off, Ponty piled on the pressure, forcing Llanelli to concede multiple free kicks.
A penalty given after advantage played saw fullback Ben Jones get the first points on the board after 14 mins.
Still not advancing into their own half, Llanelli absorbed the relentless pressure piled on by Ponty who were hungry for quality ball duly delivered by thy forwards.  A great pass from Sweeney to Alex Knott saw a certain try denied by a great cover tackle.
With Geraint Clarke replacing Rob Jones, the pressure continued, a superb charging run by scrum half Dane Blacker  and quality hands from Dico & Gareth Smith saw a pass to Stuckey who chipped over head to score in the corner making it 8-0.
As Llanelli progressed into their own half a missed penalty attempt was rewarded by a second chance, duly kicked by Jonny Lewis.
A superb kick by Sweeney in his own 22 saw Blacker again go on the charge after Ponty win the line out. A great pass to Sweeney resulted in a try, converted by Ben Jones .
Llanelli piled on the pressure towards the whistle for half time but the score remained 15-3 to Ponty.

As the temperature dropped, & the second half underway, Ponty defence remained solid & the forwards dominated the scrums, providing great ball. Fantastic hands from Rhys Shellard & an off load to Domachowski saw a sure try missed at the line .
Replacements Sean Moore & Will Davies King for Gareth Smith & Lloyd Evans at 48 mins provided fresh legs in the pack. Llanelli started to open up but conceded a penalty for holding on. A line kick by Ben Jones & a knock on by Llanelli saw a scrum won against the head by the men in red .
Ponty ran the ball from all angles, with Llanelli showing frustration by conceding free kicks.
With the ball passed swiftly to the wing, Dale Stuckey almost scored from another kick ahead. With Ponty absorbing the pressure in front of their posts, a turnover saw a kick from Ben Jones for another line out won by capt Dicomidis.
Ponty’s replacements saw Lloyd Rowlands replacing Ben Jones, Huw Owen replacing Cory Domachowski & Cameron Lewis replaced Gabe Davies .
As the Llanelli backs tried to set up a phase, they were penalised for crossing. Sion Edwards replaced Shay Smallman at 67 mins.
A break down at the line by Stuckey who showed his pace and resulted in a great try, which was converted by Sweeney making the score 3-22.  Dai Francis replaced Dane Blacker at 70 mins.
With Ponty now dominating the set piece in the final 10 minutes, a high tackle on Lloyd Rowlands resulted in a line kick.
With Llanelli hungry to get a try on the board, saw forced errors by Llanelli & another free kick for Ponty for not rolling away.
With only 7 points conceded by Llanelli in the second half saw both teams front lines working hard to defend the line.  Both teams absorbed the pressure until the final whistle blew and ended in another victory for Ponty.
