Jones, Desmond

Called in to the Pontypridd senior team whilst still a schoolboy at Pontypridd Gramar School in 1942, Desmond Jones went on to represent the club throughout the forties, captaining the team in 1949 and 1950.

Having hung up his boots, Jones moved straight into an administrative role with Pontypridd, taking on the post of secretary, and recognised as being instrumental in bringing a far more professional outlook to the running of the club.
