Wesh rugby icon J.P.R. Williams, the hero of many a Grand Slam winning team back in the seventies, will be the special guest on the GTFM Rugby Show this coming Friday 23d January.
J.P.R. with socks rolled down to the ankles, hair flowing and more often than not with a bloodied face from the heat of the battle, is one of the enduring images of our national game. The great London Welsh and Bridgend full back was capped 55 times by Wales and 8 times by the Lions.
No doubt GTFM Rugby Show host Alun Jones will want to dwell on his guest's record against England, having played ten times against the old enemy and never lost, with a try tally of five to boot.
Tune in to the GTFM Rugby Show, broadcast on the 107.9 FM wavelength and going out between 6:30 and 7 pm on Friday evening.
