Biography:

James Howe came through the ranks of his home town club Merthyr RFC, playing at junior and youth level before breaking into the senior squad in 2010.

His prowess as a solid scrummager and a dynamic performer in the loose were recognised with a call up to the Blues regional set up from under 16 to under 20 level.

Nicknamed "Baby Bull" by the Merthyr supporters, James' impressive form came to the fore as his club faced Pontypridd in a close fought Welsh Cup tie in March 2011. An invitation to join up with the Ponty senior squad followed in readiness for the 2011 - 2012 campaign.

James Howe is employed as a roofer.
