The Pontypridd RFC Mini, Junior & Youth sections recently paid tribute to their treasurer John Blewitt, honouring his services with the presentation of a specially commissioned grogg.
John, of Graigwen, has been active as Minis Juniors & Youth treasurer for the past seven years. He and his wife Iris were delighted to receive the Martyn Williams grogg.
John is a long standing Pontypridd RFC member, rarely missing a home game and enjoying the long distance trips equally.
Starting his career in the Great Western Railway and latterly with local accountants Jeffs and Rowe, John was a massive help in setting up the book-keeping and other financial aspects of Mini rugby.
He has been a great servant of the Club and all who know him will wish he and his wife Iris a very happy retirement.
“Thank you John.”
