Morris, Oliver

Oliver James Morris played a season for ¬†Pontypridd RFC before he ‘went North’ and signed for Hunslet in November 1937. He had been brought to Pontypridd from Llanelli and provided with a job at the Maritime Coke ovens. Morris lodged at a house in Maesycoed with fellow player Emlyn Walters, who went on to captain the club.

During his brief stay Morris was hailed as an outstanding talent capable of bringing the best out of the Pontypridd threequarters.
