Biography: 

Hailing from Aberdare, Dean John Gunter represented Abercynon RFC at Mini & Junior level, then progressing to play for Abercynon and Pontypridd Youth.

Having won international honours with Wales at under 16 level, Dean took the step up to senior level with Abercynon in 2008, still at only eighteen years of age.

An invitation followed to play on permit for Pontypridd towards the end of the 2008 - 2009 campaign, with a permanent move to Sardis Road made in the summer close season.

Dean's  skills as a formidable midfield General earned him a call-up to the Wales U20 squad during the 2010 Six Nations competition.
