Field, Richard
Having skippered Wales Youth and Schools as a robust no 8, Cardiff product Richard Field came to Pontypridd in 1999 having rediscovered himself as an openside flanker.
His contribution as an industrious back rower was highly valued, as he vied for the no 7 shirt with Richard Parks.
Richard departed from Sardis Road in 2002 to play for Pontypool in the first division.
