The Pontypridd RFC Media Team, pencils sharpened and lenses focussed, are ready to report on what will hopefully be another successful campaign for the club. They do so with a key new member added to the ranks.
Emily Frowen, best known as ‘The Face of Ponty Rugby’ has joined up with the club’s Media Team ready for the coming season.
Welcoming the new member on board, Media Officer Guto Davies commented: “We are pleased to have Emily formally joining our team, knowing that she will bring new ideas and enthusiasm to our activities.
“Emily has the personality and the PR skills to further enhance what is already a very effective Media Team, and first and foremost she is a Ponty girl through and through.”
Existing members of ‘Ponty Media’ are digital content manager Owen Williams who collates the club’s hugely popular social networks, award-winning statistician and historian Richard Evans, and action photographer Alastair Cornish.
Over the past few years the Media Team have projected Pontypridd RFC to a wider audience across Wales and beyond, giving the club a profile worthy of the successes of its team and support.
“We tell it as it is” said Guto Davies “and in the case of Ponty Rugby that has been the story of a club punching well above its weight in all aspects of its functions. We will continue to look for new ideas in projecting the club effectively – locally, nationally and worldwide.”
