Jake Thomas - Pontypridd & East Wales

Congratulations to Pontypridd Under 11's player Jake Thomas on being selected to represent East Wales Schools at Aberavon this week. Selected alongside Jake are two former Pontypridd Mini rugby players Aled Summerhill (now at Treorchy RFC) and Sam Edwards.

All players, coaches and parents from the Pontypridd RFC under 11's squad and the rest of the Junior and Mini Section would like to offer their congratulations to Jake Thomas on being selected to represent East Wales Schools under 11's. Well done Jake and good luck.

Aled Summerhill of Porth, won the DC Thomas Plate with Rhondda District under 11's last season, even scoring a try in the final along with our current under 12's player Dale Hughes. Aled was playing up a year at the time and remains in the Rhondda Under 11's team this year.
Aled would like to thank the coaches of the Pontypridd Mini & Junior section for the help and support they have given Aled over the years.
Especially Mark Griffiths, Clive Garland, Neil Mogford, Steve Morris,Tony Lewis, Mark Langford, Danny Rees and Tony Williams.
Sam Edwards no longer plays club rugby, but represented Pontypridd RFC Under 11's last season at hooker and is an outstanding prospect for the future, as are Jake and Aled. All those involved with Pontypridd RFC Under 12's wish Sam good luck in the match and in his future career.
