The Pontypridd RFC Mini & Junior sections have issued a Code of Conduct which will apply to officials, coaches, parents and players, and which will hopefully help to set and maintain standards of excellence amongst the organisation.
A core value of the Code of Conduct is the emphasis on a sense of fun and enjoyment for the youngsters who play their rugby at Pontypridd, whilst encouraging them to be positive role models for their fellow squad members.
Basic standards of dignity and respect for others will be fostered amongst players, coaches and parents, with a particular emphasis on the relationship between the club and the referees, officials and representatives of the opposition on match days.
Safety will be another key issue, with the welfare of young players being given primary importance. It is hoped that a good work ethic and the development of rugby skills will also be generated amongst the various age groups representing Pontypridd.
The Code of Conduct is obviously a very important document which should be given due attention by all involved with the Ponty Mini & Juniors. Its application will provide a solid base from which the club can advance, and continue to nurture the highly talented young rugby players within its ranks, setting high standards both on and off the field of play.
The Code of Conduct is attached, and can be printed off, countersigned by parents, and returned to the relevant age group team manager / coach of the Pontypridd RFC Mini & Junior section
