14.2.2015 Bedwas 14 : 51 Pontypridd

An initial advance by Pontypridd earned a penalty award which outside half Jarrod Evans converted from a wide angle with barely a minute gone. The visitors maintained momentum through a wide attack spearheaded by winger Dale Stuckey, keeping play up in the Bedwas twenty-two. Sustained pressure was not however turned into points as Evans missed the target with another penalty attempt. more

13.2.2015 Ponty aim to get back on track with a visit to Bedwas

Pontypridd will aim to get their league campaign back on track as they pay a visit to Bedwas on Saturday 14th February, the match at the Bridge Fields kicking off at 2:30pm. more

The shock result of the weekend came at the Brewery Field where bottom placed Bridgend recorded a 23pts to 17 win over second placed, and defending champions Pontypridd. more

Following a scrappy start to the game, Bridgend were given the first opportunity to score, outside half James Dixon hoisting a penalty between the posts with four minutes gone. That lead was dramatically increased straight from the restart as home winger Tom O’Flaherty kicked and chased to ground for a try, converted by Dixon. more

Over the past few weeks some key players have been left out of the Pontypridd squad due to injury. Here are some updates on the players' progress:

Pat Palmer notably missed the BIC game against Worcester Warriors due to a back spasm injury. However his condition has improved and he is hoped to return to the squad for this Saturday's Premiership game against Bridgend. more

Pontypridd were forced into two late changes, with Alex Jones coming in for Seb Davies in the second row and Dillon Lewis for Pat Palmer at prop. Worcester made an early breakthrough, full back Ben Howard slicing through and sending winger Dean Hamond over for a try wide out, ably converted by Ignacio Mieres. Ponty opened their account soon after, making cautious advances into home territory, with Simon Humberstone stroking over a penalty. more

Pontypridd edged back to the top of the Premiership with a close fought away win at Neath on Saturday 17th January. more

17.1.2015 Neath 18: 20 Pontypridd

Neath earned a penalty award straight from the kick-off, which was duly converted by outside half Rhodri Cole.  The home team followed up with a sweeping attack wide out, keeping play up in their opponents’ half. Ponty were being heavily penalised on defensive duties, Cole slotting another kick between the posts with eight minutes gone. more
