‘Clash Of The Titans’ rugby festival at Sardis

A rugby development extravaganza, dubbed as the ‘Clash Of The Titans’ will take place at Sardis Road on Friday evening 10th November, culminating in the Dewar Shield derby clash between Pontypridd and Rhondda Schools.

The 3G pitch at Sardis will be the setting for a feast of rugby featuring some of the best up and coming talent from junior, schools, youth and college rugby, all incorporated under the Pontypridd & Valleys Rugby Initiative.

The action will get underway at 4:45pm as Pontypridd Schools under 11s take on their Rhondda counterparts. At 5:30pm the University of South Wales Freshers XV play against Llantwit Fardre Youth.

The main event will follow at 7pm as two of the form teams in the Dewar Shield tournament take to the field, with Pontypridd Schools under 15s challenging reigning champions Rhondda Schools.

Admission to the rugby festival is charged at £2 per person – all are welcome.
