Carry on calling

The GTFM Ponty phone-in, broadcast regularily on Monday evenings throughout last season, proved to be a great success, and provided the perfect back-drop to Ponty's epic cup winning campaign.

Local radio station GTFM, which goes out on 106.9 FM, are eager to carry on with the show into next season, retaining its prime Monday evening slot between 7pm and 8pm. The show now has a sponsor on board, in the form of the Pink Shop, Treforest, who also of course sponsor the Pontypridd RFC official mascot, the one and only Ponty Panda.

Some of the highlights of the Ponty phone-in from last season were an emotive rallying cry from club icon Dale McIntosh, some straight talking from senior coaches Simon King and Paul John and a celebratory interview with cup winning hero Dai Flanagan, all of course backed up by the regular contributions of the most important guests of all - you, the rank and file supporters.

More of the same can now be expected as the GTFM Ponty phone-in will resume towards the end of August, gearing up for another great season in the offing for Pontypridd RFC.
