Pontypridd coach Dale McIntosh was hugely disappointed to see his team going down to a last gasp defeat away to Ulster Ravens, but nevertheless proud of the effort shown.

"We are to say the least disappointed at the outcome of the game" responded McIntosh "but we put in a huge amount of effort and came up just short.

"We can not put blame on any individual player and we can not rue the fact that some important decisions went against us. I'm proud of the effort put in by the team and fair to say that we desrved a result out of the game.

"That did not happen, and as the saying goes - cowboys don't cry."

A bonus point salvaged in defeat away at Ulster at least gave Pontypridd some momentum in their campaign to qualify as leaders of pool 5 of the British & Irish Cup.
