Age-grade News

On Sunday 28th April the mini and junior section staged their annual mini rugby festival for age groups under 7 to under 11 at their home venue of Taff Vale Park. The sections organising committee made the decision this year to transfer the event from the senior clubs home ground of Sardis road to utilise the extra pitch capacity at Taff Vale Park with a view to shortening the events running time for the younger children. more

Pontypridd Schools put behind them the disappointment of losing out to Rhondda in the Dewar Shield Final ten days earlier, by claiming the Wales Sevens crown on Saturday 27th April. more

The mini and junior section offer their warmest congratulation to Aled Summerhill on his recent first and try scoring appearance for the senior team at the house of pain against Jersey RFC in the weather delayed British and Irish Cup return leg. more

The climax of the 2013 Dewar Shield competition will be a celebration of Valleys rugby as Pontypridd Schools take on Rhondda Schools in the final tie. more

Under 7s
Pontypridd travelled to Cambrian for the first away game of the season and come away with a hard fought victory in rainy and windy conditions. more

Pontypridd under 12s have enjoyed a successful start to the new season with a well deserved festival win at Bridgend Athletic. In what were testing conditions on the day the players of all teams present should be congratulated on the standard of play. more
