“Snid Day” will be held at Hopkistown Cricket Club on Sunday 28th August, in memory of former Pontypridd RFC player Gareth Jones who tragically passed away in June 2008.
‘Snid’ was a Glyncoch boy who represented Ponty before moving on to Neath, and it was whilst playing for the Welsh All Blacks that he incurred a serious neck injury which ultimately cost him his life. The memories of a vivacious and dynamic player live on.
“Snid Day” will commence at Hopkinstown Cricket Club at 10:30am on Sunday 28th August.
There will be a six a side cricket tournament, barbeque, singer and bouncy castle – plenty of entertainment for all the family.
