BBC Wales will be screening two programmes early this week, which for the common or garden Ponty RFC supporter, will be “must watch TV”.
On Monday night 6th February at 10:35pm the first episode of a new series “Welsh Towns” will be screened, with Pontypridd as the subject. Presenter Eddie Butler filmed a scene for the programme at Sardis Road, with the town’s rugby club taking its rightful place amongst other landmarks such as the Old Bridge, the Evan and James James memorial and the Brown Lennox chain works.
On Tuesday night 7th February at 10:35pm “Week In Week Out” will conduct an investigation into the current state of professional rugby in Wales. The campaign recently launched by Pontypridd MP Owen Smith to review the regional structure and bring fully professional rugby back to the Valleys will be given a profile.
